Kentucky School Board to take up issue on Wednesday

State School Board to revisit B.C./ A.D. controversy

LEXINGTON, KYThe newly reconstituted Kentucky State School Board will revisit the controversy over including calendar designations that eliminate references to Christ in its Wednesday, June 14 meeting at the State Board room in Frankfort.

“We expect the Board will reconsider its April decision,” said Martin Cothran, senior policy analyst for The Family Foundation of Kentucky.  “We think they will see that including the new politically correct dating designations B.C.E. and C.E. in official state documents only serves to further the political agenda of people who want to help make us forget important parts of our history.”

“Kentucky’s school system doesn’t need to be in the position of allying itself with the forces of political correctness.”
